Craig, Hillary & Joel Litman

From its roots that took hold in the early 1980s, Texas Recycling has become a leader in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in value-added, quality paper and metal recycling.

Founded in 1992 by the Litman family, Texas Recycling has grown to fill more than 175,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space in its Dallas-based operation.

As the largest family-owned and –operated paper recycling and multi-material buyback center in DFW—which accepts paper, cardboard, aluminum cans, metal, newspaper, office paper and electronics*—the company collects and ships millions of pounds of scrap materials to domestic and international consumers each month.

With three generations of the Litman family and many long-tern employees composing the backbone of Texas Recycling, the company’s ethos is that customer service should be personal and prompt.

That’s why customers rely on Texas Recycling for proactive, customized attention. What’s more, your phone calls are answered during business hours, by people, not machines.

We invite you to meet our Texas Recycling team.

FAQs

What Is Your Mission?

Texas Recycling’s mission is to provide the highest-quality recycling services in the D/FW Metroplex. Our creative solutions help companies embrace environmental responsibility, while preserving their bottom lines. Texas Recycling also offers the best-possible, personal service to all of our clients.

Where Is Your Plant?

Our new plant location on 1420 S. Barry Ave. in Dallas is near Fair Park, Lower Greenville Ave., Deep Ellum, downtown Dallas, White Rock Lake. In this location we are bringing paper, newspaper, corrugated and industrial plastic recycling to an area in DFW that did not have this opportunity previously. We are also centrally located for many nearby businesses who need scrap metal recycling. Our plant, close to Interstate 30, offers easy, fast access for those traveling from outer areas.

Can We Use the Truck Scale?

Yes. Paper recyclers (magazine, newspaper, etc.) will be able to drive on and weigh trucks vs having to unload and weigh all materials in multiple bins.

Do You Shred?

We offer on-site and off-site document destruction services through our sister company, Action Shred.

Any Industry Affiliations?

Texas Recycling has always been very active in the industry. We are members of ISRI (Institute of Scrap Metal Recycling Industries, PIA (Printing and Imaging Association of Mid-America), and PSI (Paper Stock Industries chapter of ISRI). From local to national level, our involvement in industry trade associations shows we support the industry and give back, whether that is the recycling industry or printing industry. Our affiliations prove our commitment and credibility while keeping us up on current topics, news and trends in the industry.

Are You Hiring?

We are proud of the work that we do and know we wouldn’t be successful without our valued employees. As we grow, we are always looking for talented individuals to join our team.
